Choose Photoroom if you need AI product backgrounds, its native phone apps or an API, within its free caps and for non-commercial use. Choose Adobe Express if you already design in it and want the cut-out straight in a layout.
Questions
Which background remover is free at full resolution?
Background Remover saves the cut-out at the size of your original. Photoroom's free web exports are capped at 2000×2000. Adobe Express does not state its free result size.
Can I remove backgrounds from many photos at once for free?
Yes with Background Remover, with no limit on the number. Photoroom batches are on paid plans, and Adobe Express does one file at a time outside enterprise plans.
Are my photos uploaded?
Not with Background Remover: the AI model runs in your browser. Photoroom says its infrastructure runs in the United States; Adobe's pages we read do not say where processing happens.
Can I use the results commercially?
Photoroom says a free account cannot be used for commercial purposes. Background Remover sets no such rule on your pictures.
