Which one to choose
For HTML files on your computer, HTML to PDF is our pick: it is free with no limits, the file never leaves your browser, and you choose the paper, margins and a header. It cannot fetch a web address and it removes scripts, so a page that draws itself with JavaScript will not come out the same.
Choose PDF24 for a live web page from its address, free with no limits, or iLovePDF for the most layout control (screen width, one long page, ad removal). Choose Sejda for a few conversions an hour with a desktop version, or CloudConvert for API and batch work within 10 free conversions a day.
Questions
Can I convert an HTML file to PDF without uploading it?
Yes. HTML to PDF reads the file in your browser and prints it to PDF there. PDF24, iLovePDF, Sejda Web and CloudConvert convert on their own servers, and say they delete the files after one hour, two hours or straight after processing.
How do I turn a web page into a PDF from its address?
Paste the URL into PDF24’s Webpage to PDF, iLovePDF or Sejda. HTML to PDF needs the page saved as an HTML file, or its code pasted in.
Why are the pictures missing from my PDF?
A saved HTML file often points to pictures in a folder beside it. In HTML to PDF, add those pictures with Local images and they are matched by file name. Remote pictures on the web are not loaded.
Is there a free HTML to PDF converter without limits?
HTML to PDF has no limits, and PDF24 says its tools have none. Sejda’s free service allows 3 tasks an hour, and CloudConvert’s free plan 10 conversions a day.
