HEIC to JPG converter

iPhones save photos as HEIC. Turn them into JPG pictures that every app, website and computer opens, right here on your device.

Accepts

HEIC or HEIF photo (.heic, .heif). Other file types are not converted on this page; the File Converter hub takes every kind it knows.

How to convert

  1. Drop one or more .heic or .heif photos, straight from your phone or a cloud export.
  2. Safari opens HEIC photos by itself, so nothing is downloaded there. Other browsers need the HEIC decoder (libheif, about 1.5 MB, LGPL-3.0): the page asks first, then downloads it once from the PartPriced Tools cdn, checks its SHA-256 and keeps it.
  3. Pick the JPG quality (90 is a good default) and, if you like, a width or height. Download each photo or all of them as a ZIP.

Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser, and the file is never sent to PartPriced Tools or to any other server.

Questions

Why do iPhones save HEIC?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) keeps the same picture in about half the space of a JPG. Many apps, websites and Windows PCs still cannot open it, which is why people convert it.

Does it keep the photo upright?

Yes. The rotation and mirroring stored in the HEIC file are applied, so the picture comes out the way the phone showed it.

What about Live Photos and bursts?

A HEIC file with several pictures gives its main picture, and the status line says how many the file holds.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, on this device. Your files are not sent to PartPriced Tools or to any other server.
