Turn a saved web page into a PDF

A page saved with Save as in your browser is an .html file plus a folder of pictures. Open both here to print the page as a PDF, with nothing loaded from the web.

Print a saved page

How to do it

  1. Drop the saved .html file on the page.
  2. Under Local images, choose the pictures from the page's _files folder. They are matched by file name.
  3. Set the paper size, margins and scale, and tick Background graphics if the page has coloured blocks.
  4. Choose Print or save as PDF, then Save as PDF in the print dialog.

Your files stay on this device: HTML to PDF runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.

Questions

Why attach the images myself?

The page never fetches anything, for your privacy. Attaching the pictures from the saved folder lets them show without a network request.

Will fonts from the web page load?

No. Remote fonts are not loaded, so the text is drawn in a font your device has.

Are the page's scripts run?

No. Scripts are removed, so the PDF shows the page as it was saved, without pop-ups or trackers.
