JSON to Excel (XLSX) converter

Open JSON data in Excel: each object becomes a row and each key a column, with numbers kept as numbers.

Accepts

JSON (.json). Other file types are not converted on this page; the File Converter hub takes every kind it knows.

How to convert

  1. An array of objects gives one column per key, in the order the keys first appear. An array of arrays gives rows as they are. An object whose values are arrays gives one sheet per key.
  2. Nested objects and arrays are written as JSON text in their cell.

Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser, and the file is never sent to PartPriced Tools or to any other server.

Questions

What if my JSON is one object?

It becomes a two-column sheet of keys and values.

Can I type or paste instead of a file?

Yes. Type or paste in the box under the converter, and the preview updates as you type.

Are my files uploaded?
