Make a purchase order with a PDF

Order stock or services from a supplier with a proper purchase order: numbered, with lines, tax and an expected delivery date, and a PDF in the same templates as your invoices.

Make a purchase order

How to do it

  1. Choose New purchase order, then pick the supplier or add one with New supplier.
  2. Add lines from your products or as custom lines: Qty, Unit price, Tax % and Discount %.
  3. Set the date and the Expected date, and add notes such as delivery instructions.
  4. Choose Export PDF and send it to the supplier.
  5. Choose Place order. The order is now Ordered and shows as Late if the expected date passes.

Questions

How are purchase orders numbered?

Each one takes the next number in its own series, PO-0001 and on, with no gaps.

Where are suppliers kept?

Suppliers are contacts marked as suppliers in the shared customer records, so they are in Contacts too, but left off the CRM's sales pipeline.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Purchase orders, suppliers and products are kept in this browser on this device. Download a full backup from the Data tab to keep a copy.
