Can it open .pptx files?

Yes. Open a .pptx and its slides, text, pictures, shapes and notes come in as an editable deck; anything it cannot keep is listed when it opens. It also exports PowerPoint and PDF.

Do I need an account?

No. Decks are saved to Files in this browser. There is no sign-up.

What is kept in the PowerPoint export?

Slides, text, shapes and pictures. Transitions, animations, tables, charts and media are not written to the .pptx yet; the app tells you when something is left out.
