Paste · free, in your browser
Keep your code snippets in one place
Paste a snippet anywhere on the page and it is saved, highlighted and searchable. Paste keeps text, code and images in this browser, with nothing sent anywhere.
How to do it
- Open Paste and paste anywhere outside a field, or choose New paste.
- Give it a title and pick the language for the highlighting.
- Paste a screenshot, or choose Image, to keep a picture beside your snippets.
- Find snippets later with the search box, which looks in titles, text and language.
- Choose Copy or Download to use a snippet; the download gets the right extension.
Your files stay on this device: Paste runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.
Questions
Can other people open my share link?
No. The link opens the paste in this browser only, because the pastes are stored on this device. It is handy for your own bookmarks, not for sending.
Which languages are highlighted?
Plain text, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, JSON and Markdown.
Do pastes expire?
Expiry is a label you set (never, an hour, a day, a week or a month). Nothing is deleted automatically.
Where is everything stored?
In Files in this browser. Each paste is saved as you type.
