View a camt.053 bank statement

A camt.053 file is XML, hard to read as it is. Drop it on File Converter to see the entries as a table, with the opening and closing balances and a check that they agree.

Open a camt.053 file

How to do it

  1. Drop the camt.053 .xml file on the page. It is recognised from its namespace, whatever its name.
  2. The status line gives the account, the number of entries and the money in and out.
  3. Choose Convert, then Download, to save it as a workbook with Transactions and Statement sheets.
  4. Pending entries are listed with PDNG in the Status column and are left out of the balance check.

Your files stay on this device: File Converter runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.

Questions

Which versions of camt.053 can I open?

The elements are read by name, so camt.053.001.02, which most banks still send, and the later versions read the same way. camt.052 reports and camt.054 notifications open too.

Who is the counterparty?

For money in, the debtor; for money out, the creditor, as the bank names them in the related parties of the entry.

Is the statement uploaded?

No. The file is read by the page in your browser and the result is made on this device. Nothing is sent to PartPriced Tools or to anyone else.
