Getting started with File Converter

File Converter turns one kind of file into another: pictures, PDFs, spreadsheets, data and text. The work happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Open File Converter

Add your files

1. Drop files on the box, or click Choose files. Several at once is fine.
2. To try it, click Try it with a sample price list (CSV).
3. Each file shows in the list with its type and size. Click Remove to take one out, or Clear to start again.

Pick what to make

Each file has its own Convert to. It lists only what that file can become, grouped by kind, such as Data, Encoding, Text and Archives; type in its search box to find one. To set several files at once, tick them and use Convert to in the bar above the list.

Each file also has Options for the format it is set to. For a CSV file, for example, you can set the separator or leave it on Detect.

Convert and download

The Live preview further down the page shows the file before and after, so you can check the result first.

1. Click Convert.
2. The results list shows each new file with its size. Click Download next to a file to save it.
3. With two or more results, click Download all as zip to get them in one file.
